Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.

We collect personal information only when you give it to us — by emailing us, filling in a contact form, registering for a course, or applying through our talent portal at talent.stepmedtec.com. That normally means your name, your organisation, and your contact details.

We use that information to answer your enquiry, deliver the service you asked for, and keep the records a medical supplier is required to keep. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except where we need to in order to deliver what you asked for, or where the law requires it.

If you apply for a role or join our doctor network

We collect what you enter in your profile — your name, contact details and city — along with your CV if you upload one. If you register as a doctor we also collect your specialty, experience, current workplace, availability, and your professional licence number and issuing authority.

We use this to assess you for a specific role or to match you against placements as hospitals request them. Your details are visible only to our recruitment team. We do not pass your CV or licence details to a hospital or any other organisation without asking you first.

Your CV is stored privately. It is not published, not indexed by search engines, and cannot be reached by a public link — our team open it through a temporary link that expires after sixty seconds.

How long we keep it

  • We keep CVs for 12 months from the date you send them.
  • We keep unsuccessful applications for 12 months from the date the decision is made, after which the application and any CV attached to it are deleted.
  • If you are placed or employed by us, we keep what we are required to keep as an employer or agency for as long as the law requires.
  • You can withdraw an application yourself at any time from your account page, and you can ask us to delete your profile and CV before these periods end.
